Latest news reveals that Japanese auto manufacturer, Mitsubishi Motors luxury sedan Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X hit Indian rodas by the end of June or in July-2009.The car belongs to the luxury D Segment. It was announced that the launch of Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X will be preceded by its most popular SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) Mitsubishi Outlander.The car is imported as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) to India which push the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X price to high end from $30,473 (Rs 12 lakh) to $32,697 (Rs 13 lakh) to Rs 21.70 lakh to Rs 23.5 lakh.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X with a 1997cc, 2.0L, 1998cc, 16-Valve, MIVEC, DOHC, Turbo engine capable of generating a max power out of 291bhp@6500rpm and a max torque of 407nm@4400rpm.The car has 5-speed manual transmission.The powerful engine makes the car to touch 60km in just 4.7 seconds.Four-wheel drive (4WD) is optional for the car.

The safety measures of the all New Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X includes ABS with EBD, and an array of airbag that includes curtain SRS airbag, driver's SRS airbag, dual front SRS airbag, and passenger's SRS airbag.
